Supplement to the BLITZDUCTOR XT product family

Another module is now available as supplement to the BLITZDUCTOR XT product family.

The BXT M2 BD S EX 24 surge arrester module of SPD class  is ideally suited for protecting one signal interface (one pair) of intrinsically safe measuring circuits in hazardous areas (e.g. 4-20mA, Fieldbus Foundation, Profi-bus-PA). The arrester meets the requirements for intrinsically safe measuring circuits in Ex zone 1 and is ATEX, IECEx and CSA-Hazloc-approved. In addition, the module is available with optional direct (terminals 4-4‘) or indirect (terminals 3-3‘) shield earthing.

A preventive maintenance of the arrester is possible by means of the PM20 test.
